Continuous Monitoring Dashboards
The Wellington Transport Analytics Unit have developed a range of dashboards to display and visualise a range of transport data, with the purpose being to:

- Understand changes and trends through time.
- Provide the evidence base to support the development of transport improvement initiatives.
- Inform the monitoring and development of the Regional Land Transport Plan.
- Make data and insights easily available to partners and consultants to inform policy and scheme development.

| Wellington CBD - PT Cordon ↗ | The Wellington CBD cordon survey has been undertaken annually since 2000, capturing people in vehicles, on public transport, walking and cycling to Wellington CBD in the AM peak; the public transport component is now recorded through analysis of ticket machine data and provides a 24-7 picture of persons heading to / from Wellington CBD by bus and rail. | Aug, 2025 | Dec, 2025 | Published | Available |

| Census Questions ↗ | The New Zealand Census of Population and Dwellings is the official count of the people and dwellings in New Zealand. This dashboard enables easy access to Census 2023 (and if available 2013 & 2018) data at TA and SA2 level.
